KMK Successfully complete the second stage of the refit of the fabric expansion joints on the gas turbines on the Queen Mary II.
At the request of Contactors Harris Pye, KMK Compensators had visited the ship to survey the gas turbines for the compensator condition and site access.
Over two trips KMK stripped and then fitted new fabric expansion joints and replaced the high temperature lagging around the flanges.
The fitters spent over two weeks at sea to ensure the job was completed in a timely manner that did not effect the day to day running of the ship.
It was a pleasure to be working on such a prestigious vessel.
